Dreamscape: barbed wire fence

This painting is based on a memory of a dream instead of a reference photo.

The snow is deep and it takes effort to trudge through. You follow the fence line. Each fenced out lot is a half mile, so you know you’ve walked over 3 miles since making it to the snowy fields. A chill takes over your body, making you shiver uncontrollably for a moment and leaving the dull pain of cold lingering. If you weren’t so miserable, you’d be able to recognize the beauty around you, and you take a moment to forget your aching body and really look around.
