Hyacinth Haus miniature

This is a painting of my home, mirrored vertically. It was one of my first miniature watercolors, painted in the early days of quarantine. My house had been a nexus for connection pre-Covid. Weekly art nights, frequent gatherings, and occasional parties turned into complete isolation. I felt trapped and alone in the place that had once been a source of comfort and connection in the past. My feelings about my home were very big and flipped around, so I decided to paint it very small and flipped around.
