Knight of pentacles

This painting is a part of my Queer Revolution Tarot series. I painted 78 tarot cards based on the themes of traditional decks, but with a gender expansive approach to a traditionally binary categorization. Masculine and feminine are qualities, not bodies, and anybody could embody either or both.

This card represents hard work, productivity, routine, and responsibilities. Tangible success comes with small, methodological actions: take steps every day to improve your situation. The daily grind can be hard, so take a moment to look back at your journey and find pride in the progress that has come from your dedication and consistency.

The knight shows off his coin proudly. Wildflowers cover his jacket, symbols of growth in adversity. He stands in front of an old house with intricate architecture, built with intention and over time.
