Stranger

“A stranger in the waking world, never quite awake”

I painted this in my sketchbook in the summer of 2019. Reflecting on my experiences of the previous summer, my sketchbook was filled with people caught between two planes, between two realities, and between two realms of consciousness. I explored the fear behind the question I was scared to ask: “am I asleep or am I awake?”
